How long is the Fall season?

Like baseball, fall softball runs from mid August through October

What does the schedule look like?

Schedules will vary per team but your family can expect a commitment of 2-3 events per week (practices/games)

When is the birthday cut-off?

The cut-off for this fall (2016) is January 1, 2017

Does my player have to tryout?

Rec league players attend a skills assessment where they are rated on the skills they display. NO PLAYER WILL BE CUT BASED ON THIS ASSESSMENT, rather, this system allows us to ensure fair and balanced competitive play

My player has never played softball, is that ok?

YES! NW prides itself on developing ball players. In addition to practices where they will learn throughout the season, we will offer clinics for both players and coaches to ensure all resources are used to get softball fundamentals instilled in every new and existing player

Does softball offer travel team opportunities?

NW is forming travel softball teams.  Contact your League Commissioner for details

Why should we play with North Wake?

The NW organization is invested in every family and young athlete in our baseball and softball community. Our mission is to provide the best environment and opportunities for every ball player from T-ball through high school!
  • 2-hour practice (compared to 1-hour by other leagues)
  • More games per season
  • Established coach and player clinic and training to ensure quality fundamentals and skills
  • Potential opportunities to play at regional, state, and national level
